N-400 interview, Oath, and Green Card return all done the same day—started in the morning, finished by 1 PM. The staff made me feel at home—arrived stressed, left relaxed!

Very hardworking and very efficient staff at the Yakima center. The workload of USCIS has increased over the years and during my appointments at this USCIS center, I have seen the staff and the officers work hard and without much breaks during the working hours. I highly appreciate their great service to this nation.

We shared a special day with our friend Joe Seet who after 42 years of living and working in this country finally became a US citizen. The officers working the security were helpful and informative. Ramirez, Lagos and Pease were wonderful officers. It was such a great experience for everyone involved.

I took my elderly relative here for an appointment and they were very kind and compassionate, allowing her quick service due to her being in recovery from surgery. They were very quick. We also loved seeing our President Trump's and Vice President Vance's beautiful portraits on the wall, proudly displayed.

Outstanding Experience at Yakima USCIS Office If you’re looking for immigration-related services or guidance, I highly recommend the Yakima USCIS office. My wife and I had a wonderful experience completing our naturalization process here. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and at ease. The professionalism and kindness began right at the entrance with the security personnel—friendly, respectful, and efficient. Every window we approached had staff who were courteous, patient, and extremely helpful. The entire environment was calm, respectful, and supportive, which helped ease the nerves that naturally come with this important process. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Yakima USCIS office for making our journey to citizenship smooth and stress-free. Your service truly stands out!

What to Expect at Your Appointment

USCIS field offices handle in-person appointments including green card interviews, naturalization interviews and oath ceremonies, and requests for evidence. Here's what to know:

Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Bring your appointment notice (Form I-797C) and a valid government-issued photo ID.
You'll go through security screening at the entrance — metal detectors and bag checks. Leave prohibited items in your car.
Cell phones are permitted but must remain on silent throughout your visit.
Wait times vary from 10 minutes to over an hour. Bring water and something to read.
Bring all original documents referenced in your application — the officer may ask to review them.
