Great experience at this office! Security was kind and respectful. Receptionist ladies also, attended us quick. Check in was brief. Adjustment of status went smoooothly thank God! Our immigration officer was serious but respectful and made us feel comfortable. Great office. Clean bathrooms

2nd time visiting the office and definitely not better than the first. from rude and condescending security guards giving sarcastic remarks to questions im genuinely asking too. to receptionist speaking in a lazy/rude way. the guy that handled my final test was super great wish i got his name. i cant understand how having such a awesome job from security to other jobs in this facility have such sad people who look like they hate this great paying government job haha. pathetic experience

Today I passed my citizenship interview here. I especially want to thank my immigration interviewer. Her name is Bowman. She is very professional, patient and friendly. I hope God can bestow upon her a lot of good luck, happiness and joy. Bowman is the government official we need and can help anyone. Thank you very much. She is really wonderful! 👍

My husband had his citizenship interview and oath ceremony this morning. Just wanted to comment that family is allowed in the waiting room as long as you enter with the petitioner or have a copy of the appointment letter to show security. You’ll wait in the waiting room during the actual interview and then all of you are able to attend the oath ceremony. Staff was very understanding and pleasant. Despite our nerves, we had an easygoing experience.

Great experience at the USCIS San Bernardino field office! Our adjustment of status interview went smoothly. Everyone we interacted with was kind and professional, including the lady at check-in, who was really sweet. Their calm and respectful attitude helped ease my nerves right away. We brought our 10-month-old baby, and there were toys in the interview room, which made a big difference. The officer was also warm and made us feel comfortable. We really appreciated the email reminder beforehand encouraging us to upload additional evidence, it made the process more organized and clear. Heads-up: There’s airport-style security, so avoid bringing extra stuff. Drinking water was fine, but they didn’t allow to-go coffee.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

USCIS field offices handle in-person appointments including green card interviews, naturalization interviews and oath ceremonies, and requests for evidence. Here's what to know:

Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Bring your appointment notice (Form I-797C) and a valid government-issued photo ID.
You'll go through security screening at the entrance — metal detectors and bag checks. Leave prohibited items in your car.
Cell phones are permitted but must remain on silent throughout your visit.
Wait times vary from 10 minutes to over an hour. Bring water and something to read.
Bring all original documents referenced in your application — the officer may ask to review them.
