Easy process. Appointment was 730, we showed at 715, and we were out by 815. Officers were professional with a relaxed demeanor. There was a volunteer outside the building ensuring everyone felt “safe”… do people have a reason not to feel that way? Are you trying to instill fear? The USCIS officers literally dress down to make people feel more relaxed. Show up on time, be respectful to others, and follow the instructions. You have nothing to worry about. Ignore the 1 star reviews on here I think they spend too much time online and need to touch grass.

The USCIS office was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We had our interview here, and the officer was attentive to detail and very professional. Thanks to his expertise, our case was completed in a timely manner, and we were able to meet our deadline. Overall, I had a very positive experience at this office.

I had an appointment on 07/24 at 3:00pm and the lady doing my fingerprints was incredibly rude! I’m not sure of her name but she was an older black lady. She said I was being difficult because “I wasn’t relaxed enough” and was annoyed when taking my picture because she had to redo it. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day but she was very disrespectful and rude. The receptionist was very kind on the other hand!

This field office experience was great! From the moment we went through security, the security officers were kind and the line was short. You go to the 2nd floor and check-in another room (fingerprints and photo). Then you go to the appt waiting room. We waited about 30 mins after our scheduled appt time. Officer Wall? (African-American female officer) was pleasant. She was professional, kind, and efficient. She asked only most relevant questions (marriage-based interview) and we were done within 15 mins. Great job Sacramento!

The worst experience I have ever had in my life. Rude would be better. I feel ashamed to call my self American today. Standing in front of a federal building with food for a federal employee. Treated like absolute trash by Paul Hodges there ARMED "security" gaurd. I"ll be in on Monday to file a formal complaint. If you do have to come to this building start recording once entering. I don't care if you can't it's for your own safety. People need to see

What to Expect at Your Appointment

USCIS field offices handle in-person appointments including green card interviews, naturalization interviews and oath ceremonies, and requests for evidence. Here's what to know:

Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Bring your appointment notice (Form I-797C) and a valid government-issued photo ID.
You'll go through security screening at the entrance — metal detectors and bag checks. Leave prohibited items in your car.
Cell phones are permitted but must remain on silent throughout your visit.
Wait times vary from 10 minutes to over an hour. Bring water and something to read.
Bring all original documents referenced in your application — the officer may ask to review them.
