USCIS have wonderful employees they all are very welcoming and well educated staff members. I am indian origin American citizen and I sponsored my mom from india. She became American in 2019 .she had competed her whole process through pittsburgh office. I would say we even didn't have any attorney. The beautiful staff members being so helpful i cant even describes. Now my wife will go through the same field office .I would say I wish I could give millions stars. Love you USCIS 😍 God bless America 🇺🇸

Very welcoming and patient when asked questions are not understood. Be careful of people you ask questions from before your interview, their answers will create fear in you before you arrive. Meanwhile the staffs are so nice and polite.

A few months ago I did my interview for citizenship with Officer D and she was very friendly and spoke clearly so I had no trouble doing the interview. And today I attended the oath ceremony. The officer Giny (?) made sure we filled the form right and was full of energy to keep the atmosphere light-hearted which I really appreciated. Officer McCarthy (?) was hosting the ceremony and also friendly and spoke clearly. She also reminded us to double check the certificate to make sure there is no error before we headed out, otherwise we will need to pay $680 to correct the content in the certificate. Overall, I had a great experience through the whole process. Thanks!

I had a great experience at the USCIS office where I completed both my Green Card update and later my U.S. citizenship process. The staff was professional, courteous, and well-organized, making what could be a stressful process much smoother. They provided clear instructions and were helpful throughout every step. I truly appreciate their service and dedication. Proud to have completed my journey to U.S. citizenship here.

DO NOT arrive more than 30 min sooner than your appointment for interview or ceremony :) it has been clearly mentioned on the interview appointment letter, but still I noticed many people come upstair sooner and people at front desk have to keep repeating to go and come back later! Please read the letter. There are also a few cafe nearby ( Panera bread and dunkin and a few more eating options within 2 min drive) if you arrive early and need to wait. Front desk staff were super nice. I was there for my citizenship interview, there are plenty parking spots, and the office is at the 6th floor. Very easy to find. You can not take food and drink inside and you can not use cell phone inside the office. Edit : for ceremony they don’t let people inside till the time mentioned on the letter.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

USCIS field offices handle in-person appointments including green card interviews, naturalization interviews and oath ceremonies, and requests for evidence. Here's what to know:

Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Bring your appointment notice (Form I-797C) and a valid government-issued photo ID.
You'll go through security screening at the entrance — metal detectors and bag checks. Leave prohibited items in your car.
Cell phones are permitted but must remain on silent throughout your visit.
Wait times vary from 10 minutes to over an hour. Bring water and something to read.
Bring all original documents referenced in your application — the officer may ask to review them.
