Amazing. the security officers at the entrance were so nice and gentle. That's a good experience. The USCIS officers who processed me till my biometrics were taken were also good. Very patient and professional.

Big boy security guard at the front with a bad attitude for no reason. The documentation the USCIS provided me with says military members may enter the ASC without an appointment. This guy says otherwise and refuses to assist further.

I never got to the office. I submitted my Green Card Renewal in May and paid for it but never heard back. When I call I only get the computer requesting the approval number and does not understand that I never got it and thats why Im calling. I think there should be a better system then talking to the computer with a one track mind. I never had that problem before.

THEY DON’T TAKE WALK-INs whatever your reason is. The Guard in the front, even with a dire need, for biometrics which will take around 15 mins to be done, will never let you in and will not care about your reason. My younger cousin cannot make it on his appointment date due to schooling. They called the number in his appointment. 2 months later, still they have not given him a new appointment. I read online that some field services may take you. So we tried. We spent thousands for his plane ticket to come here to try to walk-in. Unfortunately, the person in front does not care. So what do we do? They won’t even help us. I hope there are exceptions or considerations. Now, my cousin has to go back home again. Hoping we get another appointment. The wasted money could’ve paid for his one entire semester in school.

Officer Johnson was a great interviewer. Her office was very inviting. She made the interview feel very conversational. Genuine applicants will have no issues with her.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

USCIS field offices handle in-person appointments including green card interviews, naturalization interviews and oath ceremonies, and requests for evidence. Here's what to know:

Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Bring your appointment notice (Form I-797C) and a valid government-issued photo ID.
You'll go through security screening at the entrance — metal detectors and bag checks. Leave prohibited items in your car.
Cell phones are permitted but must remain on silent throughout your visit.
Wait times vary from 10 minutes to over an hour. Bring water and something to read.
Bring all original documents referenced in your application — the officer may ask to review them.
