Since Day 1(2021) that i had my biometrics here up to having my US citizenship, this place had never changed from the security to immigration officer,Everybody was very helpful, accommodating and nice.I just had my interview last Monday 9/22 (2025)for my citizenship and right at the same day got offered for my oathtaking ceremony. This place will always be memorable to me. Keep up the goodwork to all the hardworking people in this office. Salute for all your dedication to serve and help this country! THANK YOU and know that you are all appreciated! 🙂

Today is the first time I came to USCIS office to provide service in Indianapolis located at 1099 N Meridian Street, 10th floor. From the entrance guard to the office staff working there I could see 3 out of 4 are rude and dismissive. They definitely don’t love their job. Only one guard was trying to help but he knows nothing about how things work in the office and he just has to ask the rest of the 3 other staff. The main guard is the worse!! Need to replace him ASAP!! Well, very sad….. how intimidatingly they treat people who are seeking for citizenship. All the staff that I could see look like they had been once had to apply for citizenship as well. They should have worked as interns at the banks first before they work at USCIS 😂😂

I arrived 20 minutes early for my biometrics appointment scheduled at 1pm and by 12:55pm I was already done. The staff at this place work fast and efficient; from the security officers to the biometrics personnel. Be sure to take the 3-page appointment notice with you and have the 3rd page (AIW or applicant information worksheet) filled out completely already prior to your appointment day, plus your photo ID of course and you're good to go. The workers in this place are welcoming, proactively helpful, and friendly; from the lobby personnel downstairs to the staff upstairs.

Update: The service was very fast. One day after biometric, I got a notification from Lawfully app that my biometric was received. I had biometric appointments for fingerprints, signature, and photo for 485/765 green card/EAD. The whole procedure was very smooth and very fast. The lady who helped with biometrics provided great instructions that was easy to follow for me. She also knew Spanish and helped one of the people with translation. The other lady who gave appointment numbers also patiently answered my questions. The other two guys in front of the USCIS were helpful with their instructions regarding checking into the building. The security woman at the first floor was very nice and greeted people warmly and provided instructions on finding the way to the USCIS. The building was very clean and it has drop off location for Uber/Lyft.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

USCIS field offices handle in-person appointments including green card interviews, naturalization interviews and oath ceremonies, and requests for evidence. Here's what to know:

Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Bring your appointment notice (Form I-797C) and a valid government-issued photo ID.
You'll go through security screening at the entrance — metal detectors and bag checks. Leave prohibited items in your car.
Cell phones are permitted but must remain on silent throughout your visit.
Wait times vary from 10 minutes to over an hour. Bring water and something to read.
Bring all original documents referenced in your application — the officer may ask to review them.
