Today I went to the for my Citizenship Interview. The office is new and clean. Everyone is nice, courteous and professional. Yes, even the security guards were friendly. Felt great at this office and couldn't have possibly had a better Immigration Officer. I have to say, it's really excellent.

We had an amazing experience!!!!!! The officer was very kind. She made us feel comfortable and more relaxed. We had our marriage based interview November 5th. We are still waiting for an update. But overall we had an excellent experience at the Fresno field office!!!!!!!!!!

Officer Shelton was rude. I was there to translate for my uncle who couldn’t even walk, talk and understand nothing. My uncle is experiencing PTSD and had multiple medical exemption form from his doctor. The officer kept asking questions in English. My uncle doesn’t understand any of those. I feel that USCIS needs to train their officers on how to handle these types of situation.

I visited this office to assist a family member with translation. The officers here are highly professional, and while the process can take some time, I understand the importance of allowing them the necessary time to address each case thoroughly. I had the opportunity to visit last year and was consistently impressed by their professionalism. When we look at the volume of cases they manage, it is reasonable to give them the time needed to handle each one properly...

What to Expect at Your Appointment

USCIS field offices handle in-person appointments including green card interviews, naturalization interviews and oath ceremonies, and requests for evidence. Here's what to know:

Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Bring your appointment notice (Form I-797C) and a valid government-issued photo ID.
You'll go through security screening at the entrance — metal detectors and bag checks. Leave prohibited items in your car.
Cell phones are permitted but must remain on silent throughout your visit.
Wait times vary from 10 minutes to over an hour. Bring water and something to read.
Bring all original documents referenced in your application — the officer may ask to review them.
