I had my biometrics at the USCIS Cincinnati office. It was good and a positive experience. I arrived before my scheduled 8am appointment. There were only four of us in line, and then they let us in at exactly 8am. The two male officers in the Biometrics Room I-710 were professional and kind. I'd say the whole experience was very quick and the process was efficient. I was done in less than 15 minutes. God bless you sirs!

Went for biometrics and the old guy there is really rude to Non English speakers and didnt try to help or explain anything to the woman infront of me who was trying her best. Dude seriously needs to find a new job.

Great service, in and out in about 19 mins for fingerprints. They also have a survey at the end of the appointment so I am sure they are doing their best to improve the experience.

You need to hire more people so you can talk to them because some people cannot read everything they see on the phone so it is very hard to read it and I’m trying to talk to someone and nobody wants to talk to me and that’s pretty bad

Lots of friendly employees but some not so much unfortunately. The real issue is how hard it is to get an answer to a simple question from the phone number or online chat. Both services point you to the other. I started out by calling and was directed to go online. Went online and an agent said I had to go to the 800 number. Went BACK there and then was... You guessed it... Directed back online. If it was as simple as connecting to an agent quickly it wouldn't be so irritating but I spent over 3 hours today doing this and asking ONE question. The last 2 agents disconnected without answering the question I had. One left before saying anything except providing yet another website to go to. When asked what I was looking for specifically on the website they just sent the link again. The last rep was even more rude. They told me I had to verify information but didn't ask for any information to be verified. I explained that I didn't think my question was being understood and it should not be this difficult to get an answer and he said he was going to have to disconnect the chat because of me providing more info to try to have an issue resolved. I have both of their names and ID numbers and told the last rep I will report them both to your office. They need to do better and treat people with respect. Poor excuse for federal employees from the last 2 reps.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

USCIS field offices handle in-person appointments including green card interviews, naturalization interviews and oath ceremonies, and requests for evidence. Here's what to know:

Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Bring your appointment notice (Form I-797C) and a valid government-issued photo ID.
You'll go through security screening at the entrance — metal detectors and bag checks. Leave prohibited items in your car.
Cell phones are permitted but must remain on silent throughout your visit.
Wait times vary from 10 minutes to over an hour. Bring water and something to read.
Bring all original documents referenced in your application — the officer may ask to review them.
