My experience with ISAP was disappointing and upsetting. During my interaction with one team member, I felt I was treated with a lack of respect and empathy because of my immigrant status. The tone came across as dismissive, and my concerns were not taken seriously. Organizations that work with immigrants should prioritize cultural sensitivity, patience, and dignity. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I hope ISAP provides better training to ensure all clients—especially immigrants—are treated fairly and humanely.
Very professional federal building, clean neat and welcoming. They have strict security procedures and wished state buildings agencies were the same. Staff are friendly and considerate to the human connection. The service staff that helped us I believe her name was Ann or Annie can’t remember she she got us through the process smoothly and was very professional and extremely guiding.
We had our green card interview with officer Lee on October 10 and it was really good experience. He was very clear on whats expecting us, he was explaining everything and was comfortable to have a conversation. Office itself was clean, everyone was kind. Waiting for an interview was like hour or hour and a half, but officer and people around mentioned that usually they are serving faster.
My experience with Officer Wan was exceptional, particularly because of his incredible ability to comfort and reassure. He has a wonderfully patient and human approach to his work. Instead of feeling like just another case file, I felt understood and supported. Mr. Wan's presence was remarkably calming. He is not just an efficient officer, but an incredible human being who truly cares. Can’t ask for more. Thank you Mr Wan.
I had my citizenship interview here a few days ago, and my husband and I had a truly great experience. From the moment we arrived, the security guard checking appointments was very kind and welcoming, something that immediately helped calm my nerves. The lady who checked me in was also very friendly and even joked with me, which made the atmosphere feel much more relaxed. We only waited about 15 minutes before my number was called. Officer “Vangh” (I may be misspelling his last name) was the superstar of the experience. He was patient, respectful, and kind. He took the time to explain that if I wanted to change my name, it would delay my citizenship by about three months because it would have to go through the court. But if I kept my name as is, I could do the same-day ceremony. I really appreciated that guidance, so I chose not to change my name in that moment. Thankfully, I had the same-day ceremony! My interview was at 8:30 AM and the ceremony took place at 9:30 AM. The officer who officiated the ceremony was also very warm and kind. She even waited so we could all take pictures with the podium and flag before they were taken away, a small gesture that meant a lot. The ceremony itself was held in a beautiful garden-like area behind the office. Tip for future applicants: Come prepared. Watch videos beforehand to have an idea of what to expect, and to understand which documents you’ll need to check in, and have them ready. Organize your paperwork in order of importance. This helps make the process smooth, for both you and the officer reviewing your case. This is your case, your evidence — take ownership, study your application, and think about what they might ask or need. They see hundreds of people a day, so help them help you by being clear and organized. May God bless all your immigration processes!
