Immigration is very personal to me. It is a major part of my family’s history. My parents were born in (former) Czechoslovakia, but at a young age they were drawn to the freedoms of the West, away from Soviet communist oppression. They migrated through western Europe, eventually arriving in Canada, where I was born. My family eventually came to the United States, where we had a lifetime of personal experience with various visas, including the L-1, F-1, TN, E-2, and EB-2 visas, and eventually permanent residence. My personal experiences have gvien me a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the U.S. immigration process.
