My immigration journey started at 4 years old, when my parents — Czech refugees living in Canada — moved us to the United States to expand their business.
Over the years I've had student visas, employment visas, investor visas, and eventually went through the process of immigrating after I met my wife. But unlike most people, when I went through the green card application, the removal of conditions, and eventually, naturalization, I had one major advantage — I was already an immigration lawyer.
That combination of personal experience and professional training shaped the vision behind Occam Immigration. I started this firm because I wanted to give other families what I was fortunate to have: clear guidance, legal confidence, and peace of mind during one of the most emotionally charged and bureaucratic experiences they'll ever face.
